Dear Esteemed Members of the People’s Progressive Party (PPP), I am pleased to announce my nomination of Momodou Jallow (Boy Boy) for a position on the board of trustees for our esteemed party, the People’s Progressive Party (PPP). Mr. Jallow has demonstrated unwavering loyalty to our cause and has been a steadfast supporter of the PPP for many years. Momodou Jallow, also known as Boy Boy, served as the Deputy Secretary General of the Serekunda East PPP Youth Movement from 1989 to 1994. He worked under the leadership of Alhagie Jange, who was the Secretary General of the movement, and guided by our late veteran politician, Hon. Omar Amadou Jallow. In the diaspora, Mr. Jallow continued to support the PPP. He later became the Vice Chairman of the USA Chapter, also under the leadership of the late Hon. Omar Amadou Jallow (OJ). His extensive experience and deep understanding of PPP politics make him an invaluable asset. Mr. Jallow has a proven track record of thoughtfully engaging on national issues and consistently advocating for solutions that benefit both the PPP and the Gambian people. In addition to his political acumen, Mr. Jallow’s leadership skills, as a former Deputy Secretary-General of the Serekunda East PPP Youth Movement and Former Vice Chairman of the USA Chapter, will be crucial in guiding our party’s diaspora wing. He is committed to fostering unity and ensuring peace among our members, both locally and abroad. I have full confidence that his contributions will enhance our party’s mission and strengthen our collective efforts. The purpose of the Board of Trustees will be multifaceted. This group will serve not only as custodians of our party’s conscience and moral standards but will also embody the values we uphold. They will be responsible for intervening in any disputes or crises that may arise within the party, ensuring stability and coherence during challenging times.
