PPP Appoints Sir Dawda H.E. Jarju as National Administrative Secretary

The National Secretariat wishes to formally inform party members, supporters, and the general public that Sir Dawda H.E. Jarju has been appointed as the National Administrative Secretary by the Secretary-General and Party Leader, Hon. Ousman Madikay Faal.

Sir Dawda H.E. Jarju has been serving in an acting capacity in this role and has, during that period, demonstrated outstanding productivity, honesty, discipline, and unwavering commitment to the Party’s leadership and administrative structures. In recognition of his proven competence and dedication, the Secretary-General and Party Leader, Hon. Ousman Madikay Faal, has formally confirmed his appointment, expressing strong confidence in his ability to effectively discharge the responsibilities of this important national office.

The leadership reaffirms that the Party will continue to be driven by discipline and the core values that have historically guided its direction. These values include integrity, inclusiveness, equality, and national unity, which remain the foundation of its philosophy and operations.

In this spirit, the People’s Progressive Party reaffirms that the PPP has no barriers. This guiding principle, often emphasized by Sir Dawda Kairaba Jawara, underscores the Party’s founding philosophy of inclusiveness, where every citizen who joins enjoys equal rights as the founding members. The Party remains a political home where all political aspirations are welcomed, protected, and guaranteed under its Constitution.

The Secretary-General and Party Leader, Hon. Ousman Madikay Faal, further expressed personal pride in this appointment, noting that having a namesake of Sir Dawda Kairaba Jawara, the founding father of the nation and former leader of the Party, serve as National Administrative Secretary is both symbolic and inspiring. He emphasized that Sir Dawda H.E. Jarju has consistently demonstrated the honesty, discipline, and commitment that reflect the enduring legacy and values of the Party.

As National Administrative Secretary, Sir Dawda H.E. Jarju serves as the Chief Administrative Officer and Head of the National Secretariat, entrusted with overseeing the day-to-day administration and ensuring the effective implementation of decisions of its governing organs, in line with the Constitution and By-Laws.

Members, regional structures, and supporters across the country are called upon to extend their full cooperation and support to Sir Dawda H.E. Jarju as he assumes this important responsibility in service of the Party and the nation.
