THE PPP BLUE IS BACK — PPP ADOPTS NEW OFFICIAL COLOURS & DESIGN — BLUE & HOT PINK — IEC ACCEPTED
The People’s Progressive Party (PPP) is pleased to inform its members, supporters, and the general public that the Party has adopted Blue and Hot Pink as its new official party colours, together with the approved official design, following approval by the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC).
This decision forms part of the Party’s ongoing transformation and institutionalisation agenda under the leadership of Hon. Ousman Madikay Faal, Secretary General and Party Leader, and reflects the Party’s commitment to reconnecting with and preserving its rich historical heritage.
Blue represents the Party’s rich history, stability, trust, wisdom, and its enduring commitment to national development.
Hot Pink symbolises renewal, energy, inclusiveness, and a forward-looking vision.
The Party’s commitment to preserving its history is also reflected in Hon. Ousman Madikay Faal’s initiative to reproduce the historic book, The Voice of the People: The Story of the PPP, 1959–1989. The publication documents significant chapters of the PPP’s history, including the famous Blue Parades and the struggles and contributions of the Party’s founding generation.
With the approval of the new colours, the PPP’s official communications, publications, promotional materials, party events, and other official party materials will now incorporate Blue and Hot Pink in accordance with the approved design.
The PPP expresses its sincere appreciation to Hon. Ousman Madikay Faal for his foresight, leadership, and commitment to preserving the Party’s heritage while advancing its transformation and institutionalisation.
The Party also extends its appreciation to the Independent Electoral Commission for considering and accepting the amendment to the PPP’s official colours.
The PPP calls on all members, supporters, and sympathisers to embrace the new colours and design as an important part of the Party’s identity and continuing history.
Blue for our heritage, stability, and enduring legacy.
Hot Pink for renewal, inclusion, and a forward-looking vision.
Official Design
The official design will be vertical, with Blue at the top and Hot Pink at the bottom.
