A Meaningful Dialogue for the Future of the PPP

A Meaningful Dialogue for the Future of the PPP

I am genuinely thrilled to have had the opportunity to meet with one of the sons of the esteemed late Sir Dawda Kairaba Jawara at my residence. Our conversation was not only engaging but also deeply insightful, focusing on the future trajectory of the People’s Progressive Party (PPP) and exploring potential avenues for collaboration that could lead to a unified and stronger party.

The PPP has played a pivotal role in shaping the political landscape of Africa and beyond, making invaluable contributions that have resonated through history. As proud sons and daughters of this great institution, it is our collective responsibility to ensure that this vital political body is neither marginalized nor diminished in contemporary discourse.

We must remain vigilant in our efforts to protect, defend, and preserve the legacy of our founding fathers, as well as honor the countless individuals who dedicated their service to the PPP government over the years.

To effectively revitalize the PPP, we should focus on enhancing our organizational capacity and ensuring robust participation in its internal democratic processes. My commitment is to foster an environment where every voice is not only heard but valued, ensuring that our decisions genuinely reflect the will of the people—aligning with our cherished motto: “The voice of the people is the voice of God.”

I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Momodou Musa Jawara for taking the time to visit me. I sincerely hope that the insights we exchanged during our discussion will lead to meaningful progress and positive developments for the PPP moving forward.

Ousman Madikay Faal
Secretary-General and Party Leader
