Honoring Our Elders: My Visit with Hon. Ba Dembo Jatta

I had the heartfelt opportunity to meet Hon. Ba Dembo Jatta, former minister in the PPP government, at his residence in Brikama. As an esteemed party elder, he dedicated decades of his life to serving the PPP before his retirement. This courtesy call was more than just a formality; it was a sincere effort to build meaningful relationships and rejuvenate the spirit of our party through his prayers.

As a party, we stand on the legacy of those who have come before us. It is our duty to honor and cherish their contributions, ensuring that their wisdom continues to guide us. By creating opportunities for our elders to share their voices, we stay true to our fundamental principles while fostering a sense of unity and continuity within our ranks.

A Meeting of Wisdom and Reflection

Meeting Hon. Ba Dembo Jatta was truly a delightful experience. I am deeply grateful for his warm hospitality, as well as the invaluable advice and prayers he shared. Our conversation was enlightening, and the insights I gained from him will profoundly influence my decision-making moving forward.

His wisdom has left a lasting impact on me, and I am thankful for the opportunity to learn from someone with such rich experience. His reflections on leadership, party unity, and the future of The Gambia reinforced the importance of collective effort in driving meaningful change.

Gratitude and Moving Forward

I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to my National Youth President, Mr. Sir Dawda HE Jarju, for his pivotal role in bringing us together for this meaningful occasion. I was also accompanied by spokesperson Waka Jagne, Alhagie Waka Jobe (member of the Board of Trustees), and the National Youth President.

I encourage all party members and supporters to actively engage with us in shaping the future of the PPP. Visit www.pppgambia.com to share your feedback, register, and contribute to the party. Your support and involvement are vital in strengthening our movement and advancing our shared vision for The Gambia.

  1. Thank you Mr Madikay Faal for such a great move. The PPP is a storied party and without the PPP the Gambia would not have been independent. Every Gambia should support you to revive this great party. Good luck!
